Alan Moore, Managing Director of ACG, has announced his intention to retire from the Board in June 2007. Alan has been Managing Director since December 1998, during which time the business has seen considerable success and has developed from a relatively small loss-making business with exciting technology to a highly successful industry leader. In 2004 Alan managed the sale of the business to Umeco and its subsequent integration into Umeco Composites. Under Umeco's ownership Alan has been responsible for major investment programmes both in the USA and UK culminating in the recently opened £7m technology centre at Heanor.
Andrew Moss, Chief Executive of Umeco Composites is pleased to announce that, effective 1 January 2007, Jon Mabbitt has succeeded Alan as Managing Director of ACG reporting to himself. Alan will step down from the role at this time but will remain on the Board to assist with the handover until he retires on 30 June.
Jon joined ACG in a sales position in 1988 and, following a number of management roles, became General Manager of the UK operations and subsequently joined the ACG board in 2001. Earlier this year Jon was promoted to the role of Director and General Manager of ACG and became responsible for both the UK and US operations.
The company wishes Jon and his team every success in the future. |
